“In the summer of 2006, my wife and I were contemplating if we should purchase a new home since we needed some additional room. After watching the market and not sure if we would get the return from our investment, we decided to use the equity in our existing home and build on. Caudel and Associates (Jeff) came by our home one evening after work, sat down with us, and discussed the pros and cons of what we had come up with in our own minds. He provided insight concerning construction and permitting that we were not aware of. We began construction August/September 2006 with a proposed completion date of February 2007. In actuality, Caudel and Associates completed their work an entire month sooner in January 2006 and would have completed in December 2006 if we hadn’t had some vanities and fixtures that held up his contracted work. Construction at our home included extending the existing master bedroom into the backyard, constructing a screened-in lanai, building a new guest bedroom, converting my child’s first bedroom into a home office, building additional closets for the master bedroom and guest bedroom, adding a vanity area in the master bath, and raising the roof in order to pitch it over the additions (master bedroom, lanai, and guest bedroom) that extended into the backyard. My wife and I were quite satisfied with the work completed at our home. Caudel and Associates was available when questions or concerns came up, was flexible with us throughout the construction, and was willing to work with us on extras that we decided to do during construction.
